About

Samuel Owen Gallery was started by Lee and Cindy Milazzo in 2005 as an expansion of Pacific Street Framing.

Located in a 5,000 square foot Connecticut loft, Samuel Owen Gallery is the gallery of choice for many notable interior designers throughout Fairfield and Westchester counties.

Prints of many of the pieces displayed in the gallery can be purchased online through the artist's link on our web-site.

Custom Framing

Samuel Owen Gallery offers an array of hand crafted frames imported from around the world. Many of these exquisite frames are hand carved by the same craftsmen who build frames for the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and the Metropolitan Museum in New York.

Our boutique framing gallery offers an impressive collection of original frames with hand painted, hand carved, leather and gold leafed mouldings. We are committed to helping each customer tastefully match a custom frame to the work of art it will hold and to the environment where it will hang.

Restoration

Have you ever wondered what to do with those wonderfully colorful vintage posters that you see at a flea market? What do you do if a customer walks into your gallery with one under their arm? Corners are missing, it's torn in half, scotch tape is all over it. There is a place where these posters are brought back to life: Poster Conservation. We are the leader in mounting and restoring vintage poster art.

The technique is called "Linen Backing" and our company, Poster Conservation, has linen backed and restored over 100,000 posters for over 16 years. We have seen it all, from original Belle Epoch era posters by Toulouse Lautrec and Mucha to 1960's sci-fi movie posters. Most importantly, the process is 100% archival and because the posters are mounted to a canvas and paper backing they can be rolled and shipped.

Linen backing has become the industry standard when it comes to vintage posters. Any other form of mounting such as dry mounting will render the poster worthless in the eyes of a collector or auction house. So remember, treat those old posters with care and when you are considering restoration, trust an expert.

Since 1992, Poster Conservation has provided museum quality linen backing and advanced restoration services to art galleries, auction houses, poster dealers, and collectors from around the world.Click here to learn more about this type of restoration.
