Frank Hollywood

Frank Hollywood (b. 1980) is an esteemed Dutch Contemporary artist best known for his interdisciplinary style, blending traditional themes from the past with pop-cultural elements of the present and future.

Frank studied at the St. Joost Academy of Art in Breda, Netherlands, where early on he sought out the boundaries of free art and commercial work. Not interested in simply reimagining the past, Frank draws on a collective visual memory from the past to present us with something truly new and exceptional.

Similar to the Renaissance Masters, Frank’s work is filled with allegorical symbols, but with a fresh and modern twist. And in that spirit, he also aims to be an archetype of the Modern Renaissance artist, the "uomo universale," not limiting himself to one specific medium or technique. His body of work ranges from oil paintings to marble sculptures, as he sees fit to convey his message and tone.

Originally from Amsterdam, Frank has permanent representation from Villa Del Arte Galleries in Amsterdam and Barcelona and has continued to make a name for himself in the art world with exhibitions in major galleries throughout Europe and prestigious international art fairs, as well as appearing regularly on Dutch TV and other popular media outlets.
