Sek2

Sek2 began his art career in the mid 90s painting the streets of Dublin with bold colors through the practice of graffiti. From a young age, he was fascinated with form and color, and the world of graffiti gave him his platform to reach thousands of viewers. Although his story begins with graffiti, Sek2 has spent over a decade focusing on his studio practice while continuing to paint public works in a more contemporary fashion.

Using clean lines and playing with depth through shadows and transparency, Sek2 seeks to find balance between architectural landscape and organic form. His work is technical in nature and engages the viewer by drawing them into the composition through an exploration of distinct abstract spacial planes and rich colors.

His diverse body of work has included large scale abstract murals, public sculptures and his studio work which includes works on paper, canvas and resin inlay wooden carvings, all of which communicate an intriguing energy in a highly contemporary fashion.

Sek2 now lives between USA and Central America.
