Max Steven Grossman

Overview

Max Steven Grossman was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1971. He originally studied engineering and graduated from the University of Philadelphia. Soon after, he discovered his passion for the visual arts and applied to NYU, where he pursued a Master of Arts in Photography.

 

His educational foundation in both science and art pervades his work, exploring the tension between reality and imagination. He is recognized for his Bookscapes, which he captures through photographs and manipulates digitally. Each viewer connects with his works differently based on the subject matter and themes, which include fashion, architecture, sports, and music.

 

His photographs have been exhibited around the world, including: Beatriz Esguerra Art in Bogota, Colombia; Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena, Colombia; Museum of Modern Art in Barranquilla, Colombia; Art Wynwood in Miami; Art Southampton in Long Island; ArteBA in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and AAF in Hong Kong. He has also exhibited extensively in fairs and foundations internationally in cities including Switzerland, Panama, Hong Kong, and Spain.
