Midland, Texas
In Midland, Texas, Yarrow returned to the legendary oil-country saloon known simply as "The Bar," a fixture so entwined with the Permian Basin's oil workers that it doubles as a museum to the region's hydrocarbon history. For this shot he brought in a cowboy, a horse, and a nod to Texas Tech, honoring the strong Lubbock ties shared by many of the Permian's oil-patch regulars. The scene captures the same easy camaraderie found throughout Midland's bar culture, where friendliness and quick service rule the day and big deals are still sealed on a handshake.
