Unfolding explores the idea that growth is rarely simple or predictable. The sculpture's continuous, sweeping forms move forward, double back, overlap, and separate—much like the process of becoming who we are.
The loops represent moments of reflection, when we return to old ideas, memories, or versions of ourselves. The long curves suggest movement and freedom, while the intersections represent the people, experiences, and choices that influence our direction. At certain points the forms seem almost tangled, but they never truly stop moving.
There is no obvious beginning or destination. Instead, Unfolding captures a moment within an ongoing journey. The sculpture is meant to show that growth does not require following a straight line. Sometimes moving backward, changing direction, or crossing an old path is exactly what allows something new to emerge.
